Refund Policy
This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains BrainyBeans Private Limited’s (“BrainyBeans”, “we”, “us” or “our”) practices for returns, refunds, and replacements for purchases made on brainybeans.in. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms set out below. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not place an order.
1. Policy Overview & Timeframes
• Our standard return window is 3 calendar days from the date of delivery for eligible items unless a different timeframe is explicitly stated in the product listing.
• For claims involving damaged, missing or tampered packages, an unboxing video is required and must be recorded at delivery and submitted within 48 hours as described in Section 7 below.
• Requests submitted after the applicable timeframes may not be accepted.
2. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds
You may request a return or refund if any of the following apply:
The order was rejected at the doorstep or returned to origin (RTO).
The order was cancelled by you or by us prior to dispatch.
The product was confirmed as out of stock after order confirmation.
You received a torn, damaged, or defective product. please note that many of our products are pre-owned—so we strongly recommend checking the listing photos and video carefully before purchase. A refund will be considered only when the product you receive materially differs from what was shown in the listing (for example, a different title/edition, missing parts, or substantial damage not visible in the listing).”
The shipment was lost in transit by the delivery partner.
All return/refund requests must be raised within 3 calendar days from delivery unless otherwise specified above.
3. Non‑Refundable Scenarios
Refunds or returns will not be processed in the following situations:
Change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or preference after delivery.
Warranty or performance issues for toys, electronics, branded items — customers should contact the product brand’s official customer care for manufacturing defects or warranty support. BrainyBeans is not responsible for brand warranty claims unless expressly stated.
Products returned without required evidence (e.g., unboxing video, photos) when such evidence was mandated.
Gift cards are non‑returnable and non‑refundable.

Bulk purchases — defined as items bought and priced by weight (sold in kilograms) — are final sale and are not eligible for refunds.
4. How to Request a Return or Refund
To raise a return or refund request, email us at brainybeansofficial@gmail.com with the following details:
Order ID;
Brief description of the issue;
Supporting evidence (photos, videos, courier slip, etc.).
All requests are evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis and processed at our discretion in line with this Policy.
5. Conditions for Returns
Returned items must be:
Unused and in original condition;
In the original packaging with all tags, accessories and manuals intact;
Accompanied by the original invoice or proof of purchase.
Items showing signs of use, tampering, or damage caused by the customer may be rejected. Consumables, perishable items and any item marked as non‑returnable on the product page are excluded unless defective on arrival.
6. Process & Timelines
• Reverse Pickup: Once a return is approved, You can send the package to us.
• Transit to Warehouse: Returned items may take 7–10 business days to reach our warehouse depending on location and courier timelines.
• Quality Check: On receipt, we perform a quality check within 5 working days.
• Refund Processing: If the return is approved after quality checks, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 working days from approval. The time taken by the customer’s bank or payment provider to reflect the refund may vary.
Shipping charges collected at the time of purchase are generally non‑refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (for example, wrong or defective item confirmed after our verification), in which case we may refund or waive shipping charges at our discretion.
7. Unboxing Video & Evidence (Damaged / Missing Items)
To help us quickly resolve claims for damaged, missing or tampered packages, please follow these steps at delivery:
Start recording before breaking the package seal.
Show the outer packaging clearly — demonstrate the unopened seal and outer condition.
Record the entire unboxing in one continuous shot, showing the product and any missing/ damaged parts.
Clearly point out and describe visible damage or missing items on camera.
The unboxing video must be uninterrupted and unedited. For damaged/missing/tampered claims, submit the unboxing video together with your request within 48 hours of delivery. Claims without acceptable unboxing video evidence may be rejected.
8. Manufacturing Defects & Brand Warranties
For manufacturing defects, performance issues or warranty service for branded products (toys, electronics, etc.), please contact the brand’s official service centre in the first instance. BrainyBeans can assist with facilitation when the brand authorizes returns or replacements, but we are not responsible for warranty service unless specifically stated.
9. Replacement Orders
If a replacement is approved, we will either dispatch a replacement item or issue a refund as per the circumstances. Replacement timelines depend on product availability and courier schedules.
10. Legal Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from this Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to any arbitration clause you and we may agree, the courts at Chennai,, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Check Your Parcel Upon Delivery
Inspect the parcel carefully before accepting or signing for delivery. If the packaging appears tampered or damaged, follow the unboxing video instructions and contact us immediately.
